For scar remodeling and abnormal scar prevention.
Individuals often seek to reduce the impact of abnormal scars resulting from surgery, burns or any trauma that results in a break in the skin. As a natural response to broken skin, the body forms collagen fibers and a scar that will normally fade within two years; abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid) remain red and raised and can grow bigger. Scars can create problems like itching, pain and restricted movement, as well as lowered self-esteem.

Dermatix Customer ReviewsWorked very well so far - 7/14/2014 7:18:24 PM I purchased a tube of Dermatix Ultra after I came off my motorbike in Vietnam and had some superficial wounds. I originally wanted Maderma but the pharmacist recommended Dermatix Ultra instead, as they did not stock Maderma. I apply it 3 times per day and it has worked quite well to reduce the appearance of the scar. The only thing is, I'm not sure if it will help with the hyper-pigmentation marks that remain where the scars were. One negative aspect of this product is that the tube is expensive for its sizeworks slowly - 7/20/2012 3:35:41 PM I had surgery 3 yrs ago still have scaring . I decided to give it a try since my skin is lumpy from scars. I almost finished the first purchase and i've seen some improvement i use 2x daily. I think i will need to purchase about 3 or 4 more to really see a difference. works but, slowly!WOW!! - 8/10/2011 7:47:30 PM I had surgery 6 weeks ago and was told to get some Mederma to help reduce the appearance of my scar. I remembered receiving a sample of Dermatix Ultra in my order and quickly located it. I rubbed it on the scar, went to work and forgot all about it. When I came home, I caught a glimpse of my scar in the bathroom mirror and remembered I'd used the Dermatix that morning. I wasn't expecting any change at all, especially from just one use and from a small amount, but the redness of the scar was SO much lighter!! I couldn't believe my eyes! I will say that, for the most part, it was the lower part of the scar that was lighter. And after reading some of the other reviews, a possible explanation could be that the lower portion hadn't been rubbed off by my underwear. I read several reviews for Mederma, I found that the cons far out weighed the pros. So, I'm willing to take a chance and spend the money on this product - rather than the cheaper Mederma - because I saw, first hand, such quick results. It Works, It Really Works - 6/14/2011 7:01:53 PM Can't believe it but it does work. I have 3 scars on my shin that I've had for years. I thought I just had to live with them until I got this sample. I put some on before bed and was literally stunned when I got up the next morning. The change was huge and I'm not kidding! I just ordered a full size bottle.sample worked - 5/10/2011 12:34:59 PM I received a sample of this with my last order. I used it on a scar from a mole that was removed 3 months ago. the mole was on my chest and you can see the red scar. I used the entire sample and within 3 days the redness was gone and the scar is fading. they had to take out a good size biopsy but this really looks so much better I am going to try it on older scars to see if that doesn't help them also. I am pleasedNot good for under clothing - 9/11/2010 12:30:00 PM this product does not "dry" no matter how long its exposed. not good for under garment scars!
Learn More About Dermatix
Dermatix Ultra Advanced Scar Treatment has been shown to flatten, soften and reduce scar-associated discoloration in old or new scars and is used in the prevention of abnormal scar formation. Dermatix Ultra Advanced Scar Treatment contains topical silicone gel that rapidly dries to form an invisible "sheet." Dermatix Ultra Advanced Scar Treatment is available without prescription from selected pharmacies, medical supply stores and some physicians' offices.
Dermatix Ultra Advanced Scar Treatment is a patented proprietary formula containing bio-inert and biocompatible silicone compounds, namely polysiloxane, silicon dioxide and nonvolatile silicone components. It uses basic long-chain polymers as topical silicone-gel sheeting. The result is a waterproof, gas-permeable membrane that acts like an extra layer of skin. It helps to soften and flatten the scar and to reduce pain, itching and scar-associated discoloration, while maintaining the moisture balance and elasticity of the adjacent skin.
Have you suffered a wound from acne, an accident, a burn, a disease, or surgery? You may develop a scar. When your skin is damaged, your body creates collagen fibers to close and repair the wound. This process of producing scar tissue is normal, and your age plays a role in how your traumatized skin heals. For example, the wound-healing response of younger skin is so effective that it may lead to larger and thicker scars.
At any age, scar tissue can look different than the surrounding skin. Scars may appear lighter or darker than your skin. Scars may be elevated or sunken. Others may look stretched, while some may feel tight and hinder your movement. When you touch a scar, it may have a smooth or rough texture. If you feel self-conscious about your scars, you are not alone.
Dermatix can help minimize the visibility of scars, whether they are new or old, and no matter where they are on your body. Dermatix is used and recommended by skin professionals worldwide, including dermatologists and plastic surgeons. The patented formula is convenient to use and dries quickly and transparently on the skin. Dermatix provides many benefits and the results have been clinically proven. Dermatix may improve the discoloration of your scar tissue, so it blends in more seamlessly with your skin tone. The formula can flatten your scars that are raised and contains nourishing ingredients that help to deeply moisturize the scar tissue to make it more elastic, and therefore less prone to itching and pain.
Dermatix Ultra Advanced Scar Treatment should not be used until your stitches have been removed and your wound has healed. Apply this treatment twice a day—or as directed by your physician. A three- to four-inch scar that is less than 1/2-inch wide can be treated with just a pea-sized amount of this gel. You can continue to use this gel as long as you see improvement.
