Lifelong keratosis pilaris -- most improved moment - 10/15/2009 7:56:33 AM I'm 30, and I've had KP since I can remember. This is the only product I've seen results with--this included other strong glycolic acids and Amlactin. My dermatologists always felt my severe eczema came first since KP is cosmetic; however, I also get in-grown hair in my underarms that are painful. I've used this AHA 20% lotion for over 1 month now and my husband exclaims that my skin no longer looks "angry." My arms, underarms, and legs still have some bumps but they now appear to be more superficial versus deeper in the skin. It has prevented me from picking at my skin since a slight sting follows anywhere there's a cut, but I've been ok after shaving. Previously since childhood, I'd learned to only wear long-sleeved clothing and long pants to cover my arm/armpit/leg "goosebumps" or "acne" as people have described them. Subsequently have dealt with being self-conscious and feeling ugly throughout childhood/adolescence. I feel a little braver now in showing my legs and arms and actually bought my first pair of shorts in years. This has also helped prevent my very callused feet from getting cracked. I already ordered 3 more bottles in an irrational fear I won't be able to get anymore.

I love this! - 9/27/2009 7:55:29 PM I love this lotion! This is the best product for feet, knees and elbows. once I started using this, I no longer have rough, cacked heels. They are very smooth! Even the ladies who give me pedicures comment about how nice my feet are!

works great on stubborn body acne! - 7/3/2009 2:48:35 PM I've struggled for years with embarrassing acne on my chest, upper back, and buttocks. I bought this product in late March and applied it daily after bathing. Within 2 months the acne had stopped and the lotion was effectively fading the scars. Unfortunately, the acne returns if I stop using the lotion so this has become a daily maintenance product for me. The lotion is light, absorbs quickly (2-3 minutes), and I don't notice an odor. It stings slightly on broken skin. I also have used it to successfully prevent ingrown hairs on my bikini line, but it's insanely painful if it's applied right after shaving. I live in Houston and am out in the sun fairly often. I haven't noticed increased sensitivity to sunlight, and I'm naturally fair but tan easily. Overall, I highly recommend this product for body acne, scarring, and ingrown hairs. This is the first product that has worked for me and I will continue to use it. It is expensive for my budget but a little goes a long way. I use a nickle-sized amount each for my back and buttocks, and a dime-sized amount on my chest.

A STRONG AHA With Some Cons - 5/31/2009 3:03:41 PM At first I was very excited about this product and even LOVED it! I live in the tropics and for me the sun is a reality on a daily basis even with sun protection! Years of sun exposure made me want to take better care of my skin and a strong AHA (stronger than most in cosmetic products) was exactly what I needed. I used this mixed with my other body lotions ALL over and was thrilled to see all the flaking. About two months later my skin took on a crepe-paper like appearance. I had to go to a dermatologist to learn that the harsh exfoliation and the sun, even with an SPF 50, combined to cause severe skin dehydration. I would not write the product off but I do warn people this is very drying and I did notice another poster mentioned "not feeling like they were covered in petroleum" well I think perhaps a humectant may well be a better bet than this alone. I do see the benefits but think it is probably best for people who live in very cool northern climates with no risk of any sun exposure.

Do A Skin Patch Test - 9/4/2008 3:33:15 PM This product can cause severe atopic dermatitis (skin rash/swelling) as what happened to me about three weeks ago. I dabbed two tiny drops on broken cappliaries(upper chest area) and the area started to itch within a few hours. Next day, I had a red & swollen rash on my chest and unfortunately, I must of not washed my hands because my face/eyes were swollen and read. My first review was not posted for some reason, so, I do hope that Skin Store post this one. Please do a skin patch test because I never had allergies nor adverse skin reactions from using any creams or cosmetics.

Hands down best exfoliator for KP - 7/31/2008 5:30:06 AM This is the first product to do what it claims. I have keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms and thighs. This product exfoliates and removes the little red dots entirely. Also, unlike Glytone, it is not petroleum based, so you don't feel like you're covered in petroleum jelly. The only thing that would make this product better would be if it were offered in a pump bottle.
