The consequences of overexposure to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays have been well-known for many years, but the ways to balance skin protection while still enjoying some sun continue to be developed. The line of Glytone Suncare Products are formulated not only to block UV radiation across a broad spectrum, but to provide the skin with other ingredients to sooth, heal and protect the skin tissues from even those rays that sneak in past the protection. Sunscreens are rated by their level of SPF (sun protection factor), but this number is only part of the story.
To be truly effective, sunscreens need to guard against the entire spectrum of radiation, including UVA and UVB bands of wavelengths. By protecting against the full range of radiation wavelengths, Glytone Suncare Products help prevent both surface effects and deeply penetrating rays that can affect the supporting collagen tissues. The sun's UV rays have to be treated with respect, even on cloudy days -- at least 80% of UV radiation can penetrate overcast skies -- but with Glytone Suncare Products you can protect yourself.

Additional Glytone Products Information
The advantages of Glytone Suncare Products are they way they combine screening the sun's UV radiation with additional ingredients to help soothe, heal and protect the skin. Keeping skin tissues properly moisturized and soothed helps make sun exposure pleasant as well as safer.
Direct sunlight is not the only danger from exposure to the sun's UV radiation. Although periods of peak sunlight are obviously the time when the danger is greatest, as much as 80% of the sun's UV rays can penetrate clouds. Even hats and other covering isn't a guarantee of protection: Concrete, sand and even snow are notorious for reflecting radiation up from the surface. For a high level of protection, Glytone Sunscreen Lotion SPF 40 provides a guard against both the UVA and UVB bands of wavelengths, while providing hyaluronic acid and caprylic/capric triglyceride (derived from coconut) to help the skin retain moisture from the dehydrating effects of the sun. During peak periods of sunlight, apply every two hours, plus reapply to dry skin after swimming, towel drying or periods of perspiration. It's not always convenient to use a cream sunscreen, particularly when fully dressed.
You can still have strong sun protection with Glytone Sunscreen Spray Mist SPF 50, an oil-free spray that can be used throughout the day, or even on the beach. Fragrance-free and non-comedogenic (does not clog the pores), it also contains antioxidants for long-term protection against long-term effects of sun exposure. Even though the formula is water-resistant, it should be re-applied every two hours and as necessary.
