Human beings need the sun. When exposed to the sun’s rays, our bodies synthesize vitamin D, which is necessary for continued health. When the sun is missing from our lives – particularly in the winter in northern latitudes – some people suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), also known as winter depression. Yet the sun’s rays are a mixed blessing: They expose us to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which can cause great damage to our skin. To counteract this danger, MD Formulations Protect Products offer a range of sunscreens and protective creams.
Without protection, UV radiation can cause dehydration of skin cells, the formation of wrinkles and lines, long-term discoloration of the skin (everything from freckles to splotchy hyperpigmentation) and even cause skin cancer. All of this potential harm can be alleviated, or even completely prevented, with the use of MD Formulations Protect Products. They provide broad spectrum sun protection, screening out both UVA and UVB rays (two different wavelength groups, both of which can cause skin damage). Protect your skin before damage occurs by using MD Formulation Protect Products and prevent long-term skin problems.

Additional MD Formulations Products Information
It is always better to prevent damage from the sun’s rays than to repair it afterwards. It is not necessary to hide from the sun – that’s taking things too far – but with the use of MD Formulations Protect Products it is possible to enjoy the sun safely. These products, and common sense about sun exposure, can allow you to be confident in the sun. Remember to apply sunscreen 20 to 30 minutes before exposure; also remember to use sunscreen even on moderately overcast days, particularly in the summer when the sun is directly overhead – UV radiation can penetrate clouds when the sun is at full strength, even if you can’t see the sun clearly. If you are going into the water, or just if the day is very warm and humid, be sure to re-apply sunscreen occasionally. Also keep in mind that any skin complexion, even darker ones, are not immune; anyone can suffer UV radiation damage to their skin.
Broad spectrum protection from both UVA and UVB radiation can be achieved with MD Formulations Total Protector 30. With allantoin for its soothing properties, this sunscreen is ideal for all skin types. It can also be used under makeup.
The sheer lightweight color in MD Formulations Total Protector Color 30, Medium Tint evens out natural skin tones.
Don’t forget your lips! Their skin is equally at hazard from the sun’s rays. With moisturizing shea butter, sunflower seed oil, aloe and Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) oil, MD Formulations Lip Balm can protect them from harm.
