Really Concentrated! - 2/10/2012 8:51:08 PM I bought a tin of this creamy Shea Butter to use on a couple of dry patches on my elbows. My family doc said it was Eczema and prescribed some potent cortizone cream. I don't think it's a good idea to use cortizone products all the time and it seemed like this medicine needed a little bit of emollient help. This stuff is very thick and heavy so a little goes a long way. I slathered this Shea Butter on my elbows and after I allowed some time for this to fully absorb, I can tell the difference after just one application! My elbows are so much softer and smoother than when I applied other types of emollient creams. Yes, this small tin is expensive but the results you get from this cream are so worth the cost if you have stubborn patches of extremely dry skin that don't seem to respond to other emollient creams. I have very sensitive skin that finds this cream so very soothing! I highly recommend Melvita Shea Butter!

needs reformulation! - 2/3/2012 9:16:12 AM First off, it does not absorb well (greasy when 1st applying then quickly turns sticky & tacky). I've smelled much better naturally-derived aromas before and the twist off cap is inconvenient (wondering why not a flip-top?) And the worst of it is... my hands don't feel "softened" as the bottle says. Hand creams are supposed to condition & moisten but this one just left the sensation of a residue sitting there. Ick! Don't waste your money on this French product.

Great oil for hair - 1/5/2012 3:22:10 PM I use this on my hair everyday and it is never heavy or leaves my hair oily. The oil penetrates quickly and leaves your hair smooth, shiny and feeling replenished/hydrated. The only negative is that my bottle leaks. I will usually find an oil ring on my countertop or when I pick up the bottle there is the feel of the remnants of oil that leaked down the sides of the bottle.
FelizDia Austin, TX Pros: absorbs quickly, pleasant fragrance, gentle, smooth texture, helps stretch marks Cons: leaked during shipping but skinstore credited

Maternity Must Have - 8/7/2011 12:57:59 AM Combined with Mustela cream this avocado oil has kept my stretch marks under control during my pregnancy. The combination makes the pricey cream last longer b/c I don't need as much at each application. Love that this avocado oil has a nice light fragrance and is not sticky. Keeps my hands and cuticles looking good too.

Excellent Quality. Excellent Value - 6/2/2011 6:23:16 AM Like another reviewer I started with Josie Maran argan oil, but found it to be way too pricey. The argan oil from Melvita seems to be less processed - it has a slight smell which dissipates very quickly. It still soaks right into the skin making it velvety soft. On a side note, I much prefer pump to a dropper, so this is a bonus too. Overall fabulous product & fabulous price. Hope you never discontinue this product!

Purchased for Skin Clarity - 4/29/2011 1:54:56 PM I originally purchased these for my daughter. I was told it could help with acne. When I saw it was mostly B vitamins I decided to try it too. It hasn't made a difference in her acne, but my skin looks great. And, we both have noticed that we've got a bit more energy than normal. We are still on our first bottle, but so far so good. Keep in mind, you are supposed to take 5-6 of these a day.

Nice product...improves skin texture - 3/27/2011 11:49:51 AM Product smells nice and is easy to massage into skin. I just started using the product, so I haven't seen major differences. My skin does feel softer, though.

Nice consistency, very off-putting odor - 3/26/2011 5:40:58 PM This would be a great hand cream if it wasn't for the exremely unpleasant smell. It has a nice, creamy consistency, it absorbs nicely, isn't greasy, makes my hands feel good, is a great value for the price, in short, is a great product--but I just can't get past the awful scent! It would be much better if it were unscented.
BabyMama Pros: absorbs quickly, pleasant fragrance, gentle, lightweight, certified organic

Love this lotion - 2/16/2011 10:32:43 PM My 1 year old has problems with eczema (usually on her hands, behind her knees, and in the crook of her elbows). I tried lotions by California Baby, Aveeno, and Cetaphil before finding this. I use it after her bath each night, and her eczema has completely cleared up. Plus, it smells nice, and it's certified organic. It seems a bit pricey at first, but a little goes a long way, so it will last a while (several months with nightly use). I will definitely buy this lotion again.

Comforting - 1/19/2011 12:29:15 AM I have very sensitive, dry skin that is prone to break outs easily. This balm makes my skin feel absolutely comforted, silky and dewy after I used it. Very moisturizing! The consistency is similar to lotion, not like a traditional balm. It has an extremely light smell to it, very fresh smell of aloe. I'm so grateful for Melvita for making organic & safe skin care items for all skin types :) And thank you for Skin Store for carrying it!
