Humble beginnings. Molton Brown’s roots trace back to 1973, when it opened the doors to its unique hair salon on South Molton Street in London. Instead of following the latest one-size-fits-all trends, Molton Brown focused on clients’ individuality to shape their styles. Five years later, Molton Brown’s first retail products were hand-mixed in a makeshift lab just above the salon by Dale Daxon Bowers, a perfectionist and big believer in using plant-based products. Today, Molton Brown’s luxurious products are available worldwide in more than 70 countries.
