NuFace was founded by The Carol Cole Company, a cosmetic and esthetic business established in San Diego in 2000 that has concentrated its efforts on developing beauty treatment devices that help with skin aging. Devices are developed for both professional and at-home use by consumers.

Founder Carol Cole is a licensed cosmetologist with vast experience in the aesthetics industry who has treated thousands of patients over the last 25 years in Southern California. After suffering sun damage from exposure to UV rays over the years, Carol decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry, helping patients achieve healthier, more beautiful skin. She has worked with microcurrent technology since 1985 when the technology was new and just starting to gain respect in the industry. After seeing the promising results the technology had to offer, Carol set out to develop tools that apply the science of microccurents to help patients improve the look of aging skin.

The Carol Cole Company has been a leader in the development of devices using microcurrent technology. One of the devices created from this technology is the NuFace device, a unique FDA approved at-home device that allows consumers to see professional results at a fraction of the cost of professional treatments and with the convenience of use in their own homes. The NuFace device utilizes microcurrents to lift and tone the skin, resulting in a diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Today, NuFace is used by many who continue to see an improvement in their skin.
