This process then stimulates collagen fibers, elastin formation and other skin cells. The needles break the old collagen strands, promote removal of damaged collagen and induce more fresh collagen deposition immediately. Feels like it's working but picture not accurate - 3/31/2012 10:42:00 AM Received item & the handle is clear & looks NOTHING like the picture on the site. Have only used it once & it felt like it worked, but the box doesn't mention the "Dermaheal" brand name anywhere & the instructions are similar to purchasing IKEA furniture-brief & not helpful.

Spend your money elsewhere - 3/20/2012 9:04:48 AM I had a difficult time finding reviews on this product so that's why I'm reviewing it. I used it every 2-3 days for weeks and saw absolutely no change. It only mildly stung while using and the redness was gone by morning but I'm returning this product and getting a good cream instead.

Before you start using the Dermaroller the first time, you should know the following: Never apply high pressure! Even with higher pressure the micro-points cannot penetrate any deeper into the epidermis. Each skin is different in sensitivity. Slight tingling or itching may be felt until your skin becomes accustomed to the treatment. This is normal. Using gentle pressure, roll the Dermaroller 10 times over each area in each direction, vertically, horizontally and in both diagonals. Please keep in mind that the epidermis around the eyes and the upper lip is much thinner. Therefore roll carefully over these areas. You may experience a slightly rougher skin surface after the initial procedures. This is normal and will disappear once the old sticky scales of the stratum corneum were removed by the microneedles.

The Dermaroller may be used on all skin parts of the body. Avoid the eye area. After each use of the Dermaroller your skin will require a higher dose of a good moisturizer.

DIRECTIONS FOR CARE AND STORAGE
After use, rinse the instrument in hot tap water, shake dry and soak the roller head in alcohol for 15 minutes. NOTE: Always treat the Dermaroller gently and avoid any contact with hard objects or surfaces. IMPORTANT: Many industrial cleaning agents are aggressive to steel and may be subject to corrosion – do NOT use them.

IMPORTANT
A re-sterilization of the Dermaroller in an autoclave (steam or dry) or using ultra-sound is PROHIBITED. The needles would lose their sharpness and may detach from the roller, potentially causing an injury.

DO NOT USE The Dermaroller should not be used on irritated skin, infected skin, fungal skin infections, severe active acne, etc. If you are not sure about your skin condition consult a dermatologist. SIDE EFFECTS: Are unknown. All materials are safe for the skin when used as directed. If you experience any persistant skin sensitivity STOP using the Dermaroller.

Dermaroller are for single-person use. Store them carefully and keep them out of the reach of children.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Your enthusiasm that you finally have found the right device to improve your skin is quite understandable. However, many people have a propensity to exaggerate. Therefore you should know the following: Female skin, especially on breast, abdomen and thighs, is very sensitive, much more than the facial skin. These skin parts visibly react (often overreact) very quickly to mechanical impact such as nail scratches, microneedles, etc. The skin reacts with a form of inflammation and the release of high doses of histamines that are visible on form of red streaks, spots and fine blisters. These skin irritations can last for several hours (rarely days) and they can be very painful as well. Therefore it is absolutely mandatory when you start using the Dermaroller on these skin parts that you start really slow and carefully. During the first week, use the Dermaroller only every third day and than roll only once back and forth. After your skin has become accustomed to needling you carefully can increase the number of rolling movements. You also will notice that the inflammation reaction does not appear again. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES YOU SHOULD APPLY HIGH PRESSURE on the devices. Needles cannot penetrate any deeper as they are designed in length. However, if you have overdone your first Dermaroller use, and you have experienced a skin overreaction, STOP USING. Usually an antihistamine creme brings fast relief. If your skin continues the to overreact to microneedling after 2 weeks of careful use you should stop using these devices.
