Parabens why? - 6/1/2008 8:31:32 PM L'Occitane shea butter fanatic. NO parabens in that or the lavender body lotion. Sweden and Japan have banned parabens. The EEC has stricter rules than the US. I questions cumulative paraben use - if it's in your body lotion, deodorant, bath gel, facial cleanser, moisturizer, eye cream, lip balms, treatments and cosmetics - your body absorbs it all. So why put parabens in the hand cream when there's none in the body lotion? Esp. when we can buy paraben-free hand creams that work just as well. Check labels and why use them if you don't have to? If it's not good enough for Sweden or Japan and Europe limits it far more than the US - it's not worth the risk to put on my skin, thanks.

LOve this hand cream! - 2/28/2007 10:48:55 AM I use L'Occitane all the time. I love this hand lotion. It leaves skin very soft, and not greasy. It has a pleasant smell. It keep one in my purse. Kind of pricey, but is excellent!
