I was skeptical about the product at first. I usually break out on my chin with cystic acne. The first week, I used it before my moisturizer and I broke out a little. The second week, I just use the oil alone, I haven't had any break out since. Thanks to this product, I have officially retired my harsh, prescription Retin-A from the doctor. I love this!

i started to have a breakout since i came here in europr and my friends couldnt believe what happened to my face since I use to have a smooth acne free face. I tried everything the pharmacies recommended me (benzoyl peroxide, avene thermal etc ) I was really planning to consult a dermatologist but then I thought of asking the pharmacist again and told her the last product she recommended didn't really work and i felt like it worsen my acne since it leaves most of the time black marks! She recommended did product and immediately applied that same night. It has been just 1 week since I start using this product and my very big ones are starting to dry out and no more of those breakouts. I am hoping it would continue. This is the first time I've written a review since I am really impressed with the results. It's a bit pricey though (26 euros here) but i think it will last me a month or more because I only use 6 drops at night. Definitely recommended! I am thinking of trying other products in caudalie's line again :)

Okay, I have to admit I've only been using this a few days so far, but so far it is great! I am 29, almost 30, and lately have some weird very inflammatory acne areas that are most of the time normal skin but when something triggers them, they get all irritated and red and itchy (almost like bug bites) and it takes quite a while for those spots to calm down and get back to normal.
And actually, the day I got this in the mail, while I was in class, my face did just that and was looking pretty bad. My package came that night and I washed my face and put this on right away. It definitely soothed my skin immediately. After three days now (using morning and evening) those acne areas are really starting to clear out and aren't bumpy any more. I get a lot of blackheads also, especially on my nose and forehead, and those are already getting better. Overall, my face is looking a lot better than it has in a while. And I haven't needed an additional moisturizer when using this so far.
The product does have a little bit of a strange scent, it makes me think of citronella anti-mosquito candles, which I think is due to the lemongrass extract in the product. But it is not a heavy smell and I am already getting to a point where I don't notice it much. I tend to have a real problem with perfumed products, even some things that just have a smell from the ingredients themselves (vs. an added perfume) and a lot of scents will give me headaches or just gross me out to where I can't use a product because it's all I can smell. This isn't like that at all. I find the scent to be pretty soothing, and, as I said, after just 3 days I'm already getting to where I don't really notice the smell.
Also, I found that this seems to be a bit slow to absorb completely. Since it is meant to be used at night, that shouldn't be a problem for most people. And it isn't something heavy sitting on your skin while it is absorbed. If like me you chose to use it during the day also, it might be more of an issue; I haven't tried putting makeup on soon after use.
Of course it is a bit expensive, but not too bad, and a little goes a long way. I'm not sure how long the bottle will last since I just got it but I think it's going to be more than worth the price I paid with the results I've seen already!
