Probably best for oily hair - 3/24/2010 5:17:11 PM I bought this after several magazines recommended it. I have a moderately oily scalp with fine, damaged hair. It got my scalp reasonably clean (about as much as any clarifying shampoo), but like most clarifying, volumizing, or residue-reducing shampoos, it made my hair straw-like and tangled. I have yet to find a shampoo that gets my scalp nice and clean without making my hair tangled and straw-like. After washing with this shampoo, I had to use a LOT of conditioner just to get a wide-tooth comb through my hair. I can't recommend this shampoo for damaged hair - maybe it's better on oily hair?
