Please Note: The AFA Exfoliating Gel is formulated into three strengths- Mild, Plus and Max, based on increasing concentrations of Acidified Amino Acid. It is recommended that most patients begin with the Mild gel as it is formulated with the lowest concentration of Acidified Amino Acid and will allow their skin to acclimate to a daily AFA application. Once the patient has finished the bottle of Exfoliating Gel Mild they may advance to the Exfoliating Gel Plus, and from there to Exfoliating Gel Max. This progression is based on individual patient tolerance. Patients should only progress to the strength that their skin can comfortably tolerate. Very sensitive, dry skin patients may not progress beyond the Mild gel. While other skin types may increase to the Max gel quite easily.
Patients who have been using other cosmeceutical products prior to beginning the AFA program may be able to begin with the Exfoliating Gel Plus strength.
Wash face with an AFA Cleanser then apply the Exfoliating Gel sparingly. Leave Exfoliating Gel on overnight. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Use of a daily sunscreen is recommended.
