From its inception, mineral makeup has been proven to be better for many complexions than traditional makeup products. The natural minerals found in these products take the place of chemicals, which can cause skin irritation and, over time, rob the complexion of its natural beauty. Still, the earliest mineral makeup formulas posed their own set of challenges for women, as their loose formulas were often difficult to apply. The Pur Minerals cosmetics collection was founded as the next evolution in mineral makeup to eliminate the hassles of early formulas.
Pur Minerals foundations and concealers are pressed into compacts, making them much easier to use than traditional loose mineral formulas. The collection includes a wide array of shades to suit all skin tones, and every formula in the range contains nutrients that contribute to the health of the complexion. The brand also offers treatments that address common problems, making the skin as beautiful without makeup as it is with it on. To complete the lineup, the Pur Minerals collection feature a variety of beautiful color cosmetics for the cheeks, lips and eyes.
Pur Minerals offers products that avoid harsh chemicals, artificial colorants, chemical preservatives, synthetic fragrance and chemical sunscreens wherever possible.

Pur Minerals Customer ReviewsPur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Makeup - Golde - 12/21/2013 5:13:13 AM My granddaughter began using this in the spring. She loves it; so I ordered her second one.Pur is all I'll use on my face for makeup! - 10/30/2013 7:01:19 AM I have tried so many brands of make-up. Drugstore brands, and higher end brands. I have tried to layer, cover, hide...and all the while, putting junk on my face that clogged me up and caused me to need MORE make-up. My goal has been to not use as much make-up but until I could clear my skin, this is going to take a long time! I came across Pur by accident. We were at an Ulta store and my friend needed make-up. They tried this on her and talked about the skin-care benefits. My ears perked. Huh? Benefits from make-up? Whatever. Mind you, my friend has beautiful flawless porcelain skin. Me...eh, after 2 kids, not so much! Not that it's horrible but apparently hormones aren't my friend. Anyway, I asked about the coverage then because my problem is a sheer just doesn't work and that's how it looked on my friend. She said, "oh, you can layer this to achieve the coverage you want". Yeah...sure lady. You're just trying to sell me make-up! My theory for buying it as a trial was that, if I didn't like it, they'd refund my money and by all rights, I didn't have to use it again. Yeah...I bought more :) Who would've thought you could actually LAYER mineral make-up without rubbing off each layer...and without looking cakey and unnatural!?! I have tried many colors. The light worked great for in the dead of winter. I have gold/olive undertones and this isn't too pink. It blends well. I recommend experimenting because they have tones to match most skin tones but it takes knowing which is best for you. As for the skin-care benefits? Well, I can say I don't layer like I used to on this :) I brush it on and go rather than constant circular motions to cover. That's make-up I like!Great base for Pur Minerals - 10/30/2013 6:54:41 AM I would've given it 5 stars, but here's my reason for kicking 1 off: it would provide a good base for vampire make-up! But...you can make it work too! I would use this over and over again (and I do), but I had to learn a few things. 1.) know that this is going to work with your skin tone. If you have more pink undertones, green isn't really going to work. If you have the olive complexion and green undertones, this is going to work fabulously! Don't let the green scare you. This really does even out and works wonders on under-eye dark circles! 2.) follow the instructions. Don't apply this and think you're going to put your make-up on right away. I tried this. Not cool. Give it a good five minutes. In fact, go get dressed, brush your teeth...find something to do and let this dry. 3.) Apply your foundation, or whatever else. If you think you're going to use just this and walk out the door, eh, probably not a good idea. It's a primer, so just like painting your house, you don't just consider the primer as a finished result. Does it firm? Well, I certainly think it's provided a flawless canvas for my makeup and looks smooth and vibrant versus drying. Okay, so the whole vampire thing? Well, I use many different Pur foundations throughout the year because obviously my skin color changes from sun. So, the downside to this particular color of primer is that it made even my Golden Medium look much lighter. HOWEVER, the plus side is, I can wear my Golden Medium now that my tan has faded :) So, to help that problem out, I just changed my primer in the summer to the peach colored one and problem was solved. I love the Pur primers. Whether the peach or green, they smooth the skin and get it ready for the final coat!FINALLY THE ONE!!!!! - 12/3/2012 3:42:12 AM After decades of purchasing various brands of foundations I have ended my search! PUR Minerals is my answer to oily skin, large pores, and uneven coloring in my complexion. It goes on smoothly with my brush, blends well on my dark spots and covers them well, and lasts the entire day. I ordered the "light" color and am glad that I did. My complection is between light and medium, and the light is perfect. I would suggest "ordering down" in selecting a color. I am sure that this is due to the concentrated pigments in the powder. Try this one and you will be amazed at how smooth and soft your skin appears!
Learn More About Pur Minerals
The Pur Minerals approach is founded on naturally beneficial minerals and associated vitamins. They offer wholesome products that don’t incorporate potentially aggravating synthetic chemicals in their skincare formulations. Clinical studies have shown that regular and proper use of Pur Minerals products can result in significant improvements in the look and feel of your skin as well as cut down on dermatological irritation. These mineral-based makeups are free of parabens, lanolin, formaldehyde, and other less-than-desirable agents.
A well-rounded and comprehensive package defines the typical Pur Mineral product. You'll notice ingredient lists dominated by natural minerals, vitamins, and botanical extracts. Among them are the brand's trademark Ceretin Complex imbued with retinol (a powerful form of vitamin A that confers age-defying benefits) and ceramides for hydration. Other agents such as vitamin C, Waltheria Extract, and shea butter work to even tone and texture and vivify your complexion.
Finally, many Pur Mineral products provide SPF protection, which means that by using them you're not only addressing existing complications of skin tone and texture, but also warding off the damaging—and potentially dangerous—influence of ultraviolet radiation.
In short, the Pur Minerals brand is as concerned with nourishing and protecting your skin as it is with the cosmetic appearance of your complexion. From concealers and blushes to creams and eye pencils, this family has you covered in all the best ways.
