Good retinol serum - 11/28/2011 6:27:34 AM This is a good retinol serum for beginners. The texture is very thin however, so I'm careful when I dispense some on my finger. I use this under my eye area, not directly under my eye but for the fine lines and crow's feet and in the morning, that area looks so smooth. (I only use this at night also) I use it also between the eyebrow area for the lines there. Another reviewer stated this can make your skin feel tight on the area it is put on, so I use this product sparingly and not everyday and add an extra moisturizer if I feel any dryness.

Perfect for Oily Skin - 3/25/2010 2:43:47 PM Retriderm is unusual for me because it feels like a light silicone primer, rather than a gel or a cream. It does everything I expect from a retinol treatment, and it's very gentle and nonirritating. Personally, I feel that I need a light moisturizer over this, because without moisturizer, it makes my skin feel tight in the morning. This is the first retinol I've used regularly that needs a moisturizer to supplement it (for me). When I was younger, my skin was oilier, and I think this would have been perfect. Other retinols I've used successfully are Green Cream 6 (I love, love this stuff), Skinceuticals 1.0, Dermadoctor Poetry in Lotion 1.0, and Afirm 3x. I like Retriderm very much though, and my only issue is the tight feeling in the morning. I occasionally use Retriderm around my eyes, and, unlike some other retinols, it causes no irritation of that skin. I have to use retinol sparingly around my eyes.
