Glow on the Go this Summer with DIY beauty recipes and travel tips from Jennifer Yen.
Tis the Season for travel and bright and beautiful skin!  These recipes and tips will keep your skin gorgeous in skin-exposing sun-dresses and open toe shoes and glow on arrival!
Before traveling, eliminate dead skin cells with:
Coconut and Rice Body Smoother:
½ cup of ground rice (can be ground in blender)
½ cup of coconut milk
¼ cup of brown sugar
1 ½ tbsp of ginger
Mix together for a paste
Polish entire body and feet/soles by using circular motion
Rinse and moisturize.
Make a toner to carry on flight with:
Soothing White Tea Toner
1 tsp peppermint leaves
4 tsp white tea leaves
4 ounces distilled water
2 drops lavender oil
4 ounce spray bottle atomizer
1.  Combine the tea leaves in a French press.
2.  Pour boiled water into the press.
3.  Add lavender oil and steep for 10 munutes.
4.  Pour into glass container and let cool.
5.  Pour aloe vera gel into the atomizer, then pour the tea infusion.
Can also be refrigerated for more soothing benefits.  Spray and notice how refreshed your skin is.
*Use a atomizer that is under 2.5 ounces and carry on flight while you travel to refresh and hydrate skin.

*lavender oil, soothing anti-inflammatory, carrier oil
Being on a flight takes toll on skin, varied temperatures and airplane environment, depletes moisture, leaving skin dehydrated and dull.  Pack a travel-friendly kit such as pur~lisse jet~set starter kit.
Try not to wear makeup on flight which can make drier skin even drier and turn oily skin oilier because skin is producing excess oil.
 Keep skin hydrated and clear throughout your flight: Drinking water with lemon has amazing health and beauty benefits: hydrate and beautify skin from within, detoxifies body, aids digestion, purifies blood and relieves bloating.
Continue to moisturize throughout flight to keep skin hydrated and balanced.
Keep lips luscious by applying pur~lip comfort or a lip balm throughout flight.  This is especially since lips doesn’t have any oil glands.
Brightening Facial Scrub at your hotel
1 ½ tbs brown sugar
½ tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 tsp of your favorite cleanser
Upon arrival at hotel, ask room service for above ingredients.
mix together, lightly wet skin, and exfoliate with gentle circular motion (no tugging) for 45 to 60 seconds.
Rinse then cleanse with Pur~lisse Delicate gentle soymilk cleanser.  Then moisturize.
Always protect your skin SPF is always important, regardless of skin type. Keep in mind the higher the SPF, the more irritating it can be for sensitive skin. SPF 30 blocks 97% and SPF 50 blocks 98%
Boost your internal sunscreen and reinforce sun protection by by consuming blueberries, tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, red pepper, White Tea, Green Tea.
There is a wise Chinese saying, “a woman’s second face is in her hands” so don’t forget sunscreen on your hands while you’re driving and when you’re outdoors.
Turn Fashion into function:  with a wide-brimmed hat for extra sun protection on face, neck and décolletage.
Remember your chest and neck is a part of your face, treat it the same.  Wear a light scarf around neck area to protect and look stylish too.
Turn glamour into protection by wearing large sunglasses that cover more of your face and eyes to prevent squinting, which causes more wrinkles!
Boost your internal sunscreen and reinforce sun protection by by consuming blueberries, tomatoes which has lycopene, broccoli, cabbage, red pepper, White Tea, Green Tea.
