To shine some expert insight on the topic, we caught up with the team at NuFACE to gather together some valuable pointers on getting the most out of using a NuFACE device...
- Keep Skin Hydrated Water is an excellent conductor of electricity, therefore hydrated skin is much more ideal for microcurrent treatments. To increase skin hydration, use water-based products and extreme hydrators pre-microcurrent treament. That includes drinking more water too!
- Optimize Performance To optimize your NuFACE treatment, use a product which refreshes and hydrates the skin, such as the NuFACE Optimizing Mist
- Oil-Free, Clean Skin Oil cannot conduct an electric-current, therefore, any oil on the skin blocks the penetration of the microcurrent, preventing results from the NuFACE device. A solution to this is to use water based skincare. All skincare products prior to microcurrent should be both water-based and oil-free, removing any surface oil.
- Use The Complementing Gel
When using the NuFACE Trinity device, the most popular treatment is the '5-Minute Facial-Lift'. This at-home technique is clinically-tested to improve facial contour, skin tone, and wrinkle reduction across the jawline, cheek area and forehead. NuFACE recommend that for optimum results, the microcurrent treatment should be carried out 5 days a week for 60 days. After 60 days, they advise you to reduce to 3 days a week. We haven't quite tried it out for ourselves (yet), but so far, we are pretty much sold on the idea!
