Good sunscreen with a couple of drawbacks for me
This sunscreen does indeed absorb readily into clean skin and seems to do the job. My problem arose when I used it over a product containing hyaluronic acid. I waited for the product to set before applying sunscreen. First the sunscreen absorbed less well and left a white cast that didn't go away with massaging into the skin. Second further efforts to get the product to absorb caused stubborn pilling. I think this is a very nice product on clean skin but would not recommend using over products containing acids.
Disappointing
I’m very familiar with La Roche Posay products and SPFs in particular, so I was very let down by this one in particular. Immediately pilled, left a terrible white cast, and overall didn’t blend well. I’ll keep using because it’s still an effective SPF and wasn’t cheap but there are so many other SPFs that work better than this. I can’t see myself being able to apply makeup over it at all.
The Best
I love the La Roche Posay clear skin sunscreen so much, usually wearing SPF is a major problem for me due to how it gets my face greasy through the day but this particular sunscreen is completely oil free. I totally recommend it.
