Amazing shaving cream!

My husband loves this!! He doesn't even need after shave because the fragrance is so awesome. People compliment him all the time. If you need to get someone a "special" present, I highly recommend, but beware they will want a refill!!!
I wish I could exchange mine

First, the bristles had an odor of a wet animal for about 3-4 weeks. Thankfully, the odor gradually dissipated from repeated use.
During that time, and for about a month longer, the bristles (which were always soft) did a good job distributing the shaving cream. I was pleased.
After about 2 months of daily use, the bristles were coming out of the handle. This was a pain as I'd find bristles all over my beard and underneath the shaving cream. I was not rough with this brush at all, and I am very disappointed that a product from The Art of Shaving performed this poorly.
If there's a way for me to exchange it for another one I would do it in case there was a problem with that production lot.

Not as good as the pre-shave oil. It seems to just disappear when applied and takes much more to cover. It doesn't last as long either. The scent is great however. I'll be switching back to the oil once this is gone.
Best one yet

Art of Shaving Ocean Kelp is the best line to date. I have been using the Sandlewood fragrance for about 2 years, but will never go back now that I have tried this one. The preshave gel is so much better than the oil, and less mess in the sink. I even enjoy the shaving cream more.
High quality, as expected from AoS

This is great stuff, as I was expecting from The Art of Shaving. Some of the highest quality stuff available, and Skin Store has the best deal online that I could find (using 20% code).
Lemon is much lighter than both Sandalwood and Lavender, which is great for my job working in schools where I can't have a strong aftershave. It doesn't bother my girlfriend, who is sensitive to smells.
The only problem I have is that Lemon is so light that it doesn't leave the brush smelling good.
The best after shave but not the best facial cream

This is my second bottle of this after shave balm. I initially used it as both after shave and facial cream, but I noticed that for facial cream it's a little greasy...something like that, because when I use it my skin gets pretty oily/sticky after a couple of hours. (I've used the Biotherm aquapower instead witch is great, but I'm really curious about my new Ole Henriksen facial cream.)
As a shaving balm it's the best out there IMO, it moustirize good and the smell is great!
It's pretty expensive, but in Sweden it's double the price, so I'm glad I can import it from US ;)
Does the job at a great price

Needed a stand for my shave brush and didn't want to spend $50-$100. This stand fit the bill. Works great.
The Art Of Shaving Cream Lavender
-6/7/2012 7:15:33 AM
I've been through many shave creams, trying to find the best of the best. The Art Of Shaving Cream Lavender is it! Doesn't take a lot, especially if you use the AoS shave brush. The lavender oil allows smooth gliding of the razor and I almost never nick my extremely sensitive skin. I won't even consider another shave cream.
