The best book I never read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 11/20/2009 10:09:34 AM Fantastic!!! My skin is better since I read this book. Before I read it I try all new products and I think the most expensive are better and my skin was worse every time. Now my skin is better than never and I dont spend so much money in products, I just buy the products that are right and works for me. Is my bible.

Fantastic - 2/21/2008 12:47:30 PM I read Dr. Bauman's book and it was a skin care breakthrough for my DSNW skin. I especially love the Autopalm cream and the dermo cleanser. At age 70, I wouldn't be without them. I only wish I had come across this sooner-like 20 years ago!!

One of a Kind!! - 1/7/2008 2:02:41 PM I don't usually do reviews but wanted share my experience to help. Finally a knowledgable and praticing dermatologist has put together a one of a kind guide on how each one of us can identify our type of skin, how to take care of it and choose products that really work to make it better. There is alot more than "4" types of skin. The knowledge about skincare is so extensive. I'm almost 58 and spent too much time sunbathing over the years. I have tried so many products from one price rage to the other but could never really find a good combination of products to use or to get the results I wanted. When this book first came out , I decided to give it a try. What a difference!!! I even have my husband using products for his skin type and we couldn't be happier. I love his compliments about my skin. Dr. Baumann has researched alot of different product lines for each skin type so you have a good range to choose from. No matter what age you are, if you care about you skin, get this book. You won't regret it.

Loved most of it - 12/19/2007 7:20:21 AM An excellent starter kit until you figure out the wide variety of products out there for your skin type and can order confidently on your own. Excellent products: The Atopalm cleanser and MLE face cream and the Pevonia RS2 for rosacia & redness. Products that underperformed: The Skinceuticals Phyto+ did very little for my hyperpigmentation except for one large spot on my neck. It lightened and decreased in size. Products to possibly beware of: some products have Avobenzone, which can irritate redness in Sensitive skin types. The Philosophy pigment of your imagination, the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide plump perfect moisturizer both have it and are in this kit. I was able to exchange these thanks to the Skin Store's excellent 30 day return policy. The Aveeno calming moisturizer has Avebenzone too despite being geared toward those with irritation & redness.

Much needed Help for all - 6/29/2007 7:38:19 PM This book has so much help and info to find out what a person's skin type is and what ingredients one should use. She has also done the research in naming the best product lines suited for one's skin type. I've been very impressed with the results I've obtained and the products I've used. Highly recommended!

Changed my life - 6/22/2007 4:46:41 PM My skin has never looked or felt so good. I just needed to have faith in Dr. B's regimen. Once I was faithful to it, my sensitive skin improved for the first time in years!

Very Informative book! - 5/22/2007 6:41:46 PM I bought this book last winter,and would reccomend it to anyone that has had a hard time trying to find the right products for every skin type.The author really knows her stuff, and has you take a test to determine your skin type,then suggests different products based on your skin type ranging from very affordable to more expensive brands.This book will save you money because Dr.Baumann will tell you which products are a waste of time,and money based on your type of skin! A Great investment for all skin types!!

Amazing!!!! - 2/20/2007 6:59:57 AM This book is absolutely amazing!! I was so happyt to discover it a year ago. I initially used the drugstore items but then ventured to try a couple of the "recommended items" that led me to the skinstore.com. Since trying the "recommended" items my OSPW skin is vastly improved. Rarely do I experience breakouts whereas previously I had weekly breakouts and then pigmented marks for months afterwards. My husband even commented on morning that he couldn't tell if I was wearing makeup or not!!! I still wear makeup but no longer for the purpose of hiding acne breakouts and scars/marks. I have recommended this book to friends and they too are noticing improvements in their skin. Thanks for such a great book! At 34 I finally have the skin I dreamed of 20 years ago.
