Essential to a good shave

I have begun using this brush when I shave and I know that it has helped ride me of the ingrown hairs that I used to constantly experience. The only reason I don't like the price(It is worth every penny) is because I would suggest buying it as part of the kit. Then you get a better deal on everything. Make sure you get a stand. It will help it last.
Seems good at first sight; different in practice

I use a brush to apply cream, and for the life of me cannot get this to lather properly.
It is pre-whipped, which is nice, but again, not for me.
It does a nice job if you have no brush and are merely applying by hand. Though for the money, I do think there are better products out there.
Very good; among my favorites

I am a wet-shaver (meaning I use an old-school double edge razor, and apply cream with a brush).
I like this stuff a lot; good value for the money, as a little goes a long way.
It lathers well with my brush, and when I'm traveling and do not have my brush, I find it still lathers up well by hand.
The only thing I've noticed is that when I travel, and do not bring either my brush or my double-edge razor, and therefore use my Sensor or Mach3, I get a better shave with this cream if I use very, very little of it. That is, if you are using a shaving cartridge, you have to be careful to use very little of this product, otherwise the cartrdige has difficulty getting through this thick shave cream.
This is unscented, which I prefer.

this product is the best i have found in the fifty years i have been shaving , i have tried all the different types of blades , and shave creams, gells, and ended up using an electric razor , because i always got razor burn , and tiny cuts , and never a good close shave , till i got a bottle of billy shave cream at a major dept , store, tried it and its the cats meow as they say , like washable grease , it comes right off after a shave with a short rince , no lingering oders , and a baby soft shave , I use a single blade three letter shaver now , electric is out in humid florida ,

This is absolutely the best shaving cream I have ever used. I have a very heavy beard and this product handles it with ease.

This product makes the hassle of shaving a true pleasure. No irritation afterwards.

I found the Art of Shaving products about two years ago and have never looked back. It is more expensive than I've ever paid for shaving products but is well worth it.

Gloppy, smelly and I had to work extra hard to get a smooth shave. I would not recommend. It gets 2 stars for being pretty defensive when it comes to cuts.
Not as good as the Anthony Cream.

I thought I'd try something different after trying something different with the Jack Black shaving cream. I was a huge fan of the Anthony Shaving Cream, and was hoping for the best with the gel, but it disappointed. It didn't provide enough coverage without putting a ton of it on, and it was difficult to rinse off my razor. It doesn't have the minty fresh smell of the cream, more of a chemically off-putting smell. It's not terrible, just not my thing.
Perfect for Sensitive Skin

My boyfriend who is African-American and prone to severe razor bumps uses Zirh Shave Gel along with Zirh Erase. The shave gel doesn't irritate his skin and is great for seeing what he's doing when shaving around his goatee. The Zirh Erase has been the only thing we've found to soothe after shaving and prevent those awful razor bumps. It's really quite amazing how smooth his skin is by using both products. Though expensive, a little goes a long way and it is well worth the expense. By the way, on non-razor days he simply uses the Wahl Peanut, which gives him a sexy short stubble look.
