Emulsifies comedones - 11/1/2010 4:26:11 PM I purchased this in combination w/ the following Sothys products: 1.Purifying beauty milk (cleanser) 2.Purifying foaming (gel) cleanser 3.Purifying lotion (toner) I purchased these products in desperation in the midst of the worst breakout in my entire life. As a (gasp) smoker, I rarely have actual pimples, but I do have tiny little comedones (small little bumps just under skin filled with hardened debris) all over my forehead, temples, nose, & underneath my lower lip. Looking for a product to soften & emulsify these comedones, I purchased a drugstore brand cleansing cream. You know the one, your grandma used it. A week & a half later, my face & neck (grandma said don't forget your neck) exploded with angry red pimples. The random pimple doesn't really bother me, but this was unbelievable. Painful, Embarrassing. More than 50... So, Sothys. Within 2 or 3 days, the tight, painful sensation was subsiding. After 3 or 4 weeks no more raised bumps. After 2 months no more residual red spots. Now for the kicker. No more comedones. I've never been without them. Since, like, the 5th grade or something. My skin is so soft, even-toned, and smooooth. Even when I turn my face from side to side, no bumps anywhere. Here's my regimen. May sound like a whip, but it has worked: 1. Two pumps of cream cleanser on dry face & neck before I step into shower. Wet hands, rub, & repeat until gone. 2. Desquacrem. It's really creamy, so just a pea-sized bit spreads easily over face & neck. Leave it on while you shampoo, condition, & scrub your body. Then wet hands, rub, & repeat until gone. 3. Gel cleanser (just in case conditioner got on my face). 4. Barely pat skin dry then two spritzes of toner on my face & one for my neck. Hope you try & love these Sothys products as much as I do.

Nothing better out there - 4/15/2009 11:27:24 AM This product out of hundreds I have tried was the ONLY one to get rid of blackheads. Not only that but plumps the skin and keeps you moisturized as well. I have combination skin and am acne prone and this product does not cause acne, blackheads are gone even in the morning still (and mine are the kind to be removed at the dermatologists office) and cleanses your skin without harsh products, like the rest of the Sothys products. If I HAD to choose one product to live without it WOULD NOT BE THIS ONE.

increased blackheads and bumps - 5/16/2008 11:25:43 AM I used this 4 times a week as recommended for oily or problem skin. I only saw an increase in my problems. I tend toward some cystic acne and the result I got from this treatment was an increase in the blackhead type blemishes, in areas I never had them before. I don't see it cleaning deeply at all.
