This mixed with a home remedy was a God send... - 1/23/2010 8:05:30 PM I had a terrible allergic reaction coupled with extreme stress (husband in ICU for 5 days for pneumonia) and when I'm stressed, I get a terrible rash on my face, similar to excema / psoriasis but more of an allergic reaction / stress issues (according to my GP). I decided to execute a triple whammy: Apple Cider Vinegar/Hydrogen Peroxide face wash to kill anything bacterial going on.....followed by an Aspirin paste (2 aspirin / water to quell some of the swelling/irritation) and then followed by this mask which I did not rinse off but used as a moisturizer. Normally, recovery time is at least a week to 1 1/2 weeks between freak out, recovery, skin finally healed. Normally, I would end with a flaking /peeling mess. This trifecta did its work in less than two days. The mask, if left on as moisturizer is amazing.

Plump it up! - 10/21/2008 8:24:29 AM When my skin starts to get dry and dull looking I use this mask to restore luster. My skin is sensitive and this product does not irritate. It plumpens the skin and makes it feel as soft as a baby. I have finished my first jar, but I'm hooked and will be buying many, many more!

does not work as promised - 2/10/2007 5:31:24 PM I have extremely dry, mature skin, & I had high hopes for this one, after reading its description. But no, it does not add moisture and plump up the skin. I used the product each week as directed. It smells like hair pomade and doesn't seem to add any moisture at all. This brand also has a vitamin mask that works somewhat better. I will not buy this product again.

directions for use for Astara Golden Flame Hydration Mask

Apply generously over cleansed skin and allow to remain for 20 minutes or longer. Lightly rinse. Apply moisturizer. Use as often as desired or keep the Golden Mask on face all day or night if you wish.

Eye Treatment: Apply around eyes at night over Activated Antioxidant Infusion. If possible, allow to set-up (about 20 minutes) before going to bed.

Extra Hydrating Facial Treatment: Cleanse and scrub face. Generously apply the Activated Antioxidant Infusion first, then generously apply the Golden Flame Hydration Mask. Allow to remain on skin for a minimum of 30 minutes. (The longer the mask remains, the better the result.) Use with steam for quicker, deeper penetration. Or after about 20-30 minutes, lie down and place a hot towel over face. After towel has cooled down, rinse. Reapply moisturizer. The same extra hydrating treatment can be used on the backs of hands or any other dry-skin area of the body.
