I had been diganosed with melanoma and since then have t owear sunscreen year round.... I love this for my face under my makeup. It soaks in and isn't sticky or greasy! I wish they would make it in 45 or 50 spf without a tint, as I am very active outdoors biking, walking etc. and need a little higher spf. This is great for everyday wear, when I am not in the sun all day.

So I went to a dermatologist for the first time wondering why my normally very clear, smooth skin suddenly was extremely red and blotchy. I have very fair, porcelain, type skin. The texture wasn't what it used to be either. It seemed like everything I used burned my face and my eyes. I asked if I had rosacea, and she said no, I just had extremely sensitive skin. It was becoming this way with age (early 30's). I told her every sunscreen I tried burned, even the ones intended for sensitive skin. She said to use a sunscreen with a physical sunblock instead of a chemical one. Now, I've heard that before and bought physical blocks but they were NEVER the right texture. They were usually thick and felt heavy under make-up, never seemed to absorb. So she recommended this Z-Silc 30, which I never heard of, so I was a little reluctant. She's the expert, so I gave it a shot. I am so happy I did, I don't think I'll ever try another again. It has a high concentration of zinc and even seems to even out my skin tone before I put my make-up on. It never burns-EVER! It really feels like strong barrier and seems thick when you first put it on your finger, but put it on your face (even around the eyes) give it only a few minutes and poof! It's completely absorbed and provides a nice smooth base for my make-up. Another thing, she showed me chart of all the sunscreens on the market and a lot of them only block out certain UVA rays and a little UVB rays or another combo of the two. So companies end up mixing a bunch of the different chemicals together to cover all the bases and you know what? Some of them STILL don't block all of the aging UVA rays. Zinc is one of the only blocks that really block every ray across the board, without irritation. Also, it's not greasy at all! I'm writing a lot I know, but I'm ecstatic that after YEARS of searching for the perfect texture/ sun protection I have found it. I also just started using the Atopalm cream Between the two, my severe redness and burning are gone!
