Disappointing purchase. - 8/31/2011 4:29:22 PM I have used Philosophy Hope in a Jar for about a year and have been very happy with previous purchases. However, the latest jar I received differed greatly from the product to which I have been accustomed. The texture is now much more loose and watery, and doesn't "gel" together enough to maintain a cream consistency. As a matter of fact, I lost a large amount of the cream when I twisted the jar top off and a huge glob of the very thin substance practically flew out, landing on my sink counter. I have never seen anything like it before with any cream or cosmetic I have used. Needless to say, the ejected liquid cream was useless, and when I looked back into the jar I was stunned at the amount I lost. I am still using what's left in the jar and it seems to absorb well into my skin, but I am so disappointed in the decrease in quality. I did notice this jar label was both in English and French, while previous purchases were definitely in all English. Perhaps the production of the cream changes to accommodate a certain audience, so if that's the case, I'll take the American version over this one anyday.

Hope in a jar - 8/4/2011 4:34:09 PM I have sensitive skin and have broken out with the moisturizers I have used in the past. Hope in a Jar is lightweight to the touch and when I apply it on my skin it is just as light. My skin looks so much better since using it and has cleared up. Goes to show finding the right product makes all the difference. How I use this product is at night I exfoliate my skin with Philosophy's Exfoliating Face Wash and then apply Hope in a Jar. The results have been wonderful! Love the whole Philosophy line!

Miracle it is! - 8/4/2011 4:32:08 PM I have been using this moisturizer ever since it came out. I have been hooked on how great this feels on my skin every time I use it. It is not too greasy and it's not too dry. It's perfect for my combination skin. I can truly feel the difference after using it for so long. I dont have much fine lines, but I use it as a preventative... and that's what it should be for, right?! And most importantly, it does not have that same smell like Hope in A Jar. This, to me, is a plus!

More Impressive than I Expected - 8/3/2011 8:32:02 AM I tried this because I love Oprah's suggestions, and was so impressed with this product and the price that I also bought the hope in a bottle serum and purity face wash. My husband started using after hearing me rave. It's funny because if I had read the reviews and gone with the philosophy products for my age (mature and older) I would have missed this wonderful product all together. I'm getting great results (radiant complexion and minimizing fine lines). I definitely look younger and more refreshed. Thank you.

Awesome! - 8/2/2011 12:32:43 AM One of the best moisturizers that brings a rosy glow to my cheeks. I have very fair skin and I burn easy. This moisturizer brought out a rosy glow to my skin AND now, it also blocks harmful rays of the sun! :) If you have issues with the way hiaj moisturizers smells, this one is not as strong smelling as the hiaj for dry sensitive skin. I'd recommend this if you have normal, combination, or occasional dry skin.

very nice! luv it! - 8/2/2011 12:20:17 AM The best one I've found for dry skin. The recently humid and dry climate has been very harsh to my skin and this one did it! It's easily absorbed by my skin and it doesn't feel greasy. :) My.only con is that it makes my face a little greasy later on in the day. But I just wash my face with water and all is dandy again. :) A little goes a long way and I love philosophy products! this one goes great with when hope is not enough firming serum. The serum locks in the moisture and my skin has never been dry since. :) I'd recommend this only when you have dry skin that feels thin...or when you have easily irritated skin.
