Just after the end of World War II, a young doctor named Danielle Roches was helping to treat the war-wounded in Paris hospitals. As part of her treatments, she used an anti-bacterial cream of her own creation containing botanical extracts. Not only was the salve useful in treating infections but, as a side-effect, it also proved to significantly increase the growth of eyelashes and eyebrows! good product/too little for too much - 1/4/2012 8:32:09 AM Firstly, I will say that this is a nice product. It works very well as an eyebrow gel and does keep your eyebrows in place without being too stiff. The applicator is easy to use and it really only takes a few seconds to have your eyebrows look great and stay in place. That being said... I would never go so far to say that this product adds any sort of length or volume to your lashes. The alleged rayon (extender) is nowhere to be found. Also--I've been using this product (conservatively) daily for two weeks and I would definitely need to buy another tube in two more. It's a great eyebrow holding gel--but that's it. If you can afford to pay 35 dollars a month for eyebrow gel--I'd say it's worth it. I'd rather settle for my 20 dollar MAC gel that lasts 3 months.

Complete Waste of Money! - 11/22/2011 8:14:30 AM Save your money! This product dos not work at all. It offers absolutely no coverage of your sparse eyrbrows. It may work if you already have thick eyebrows and need to touch up on a very small spot. I've used almosty all of it because I have to keep putting it on, just to see any results. Stick with powder or pencil. I just bought the Cleu de peau eye pencil and it goes on smoothly and works very well. This product was a complete wate of money.

didnt extend anything... - 10/20/2011 3:43:59 PM I couldnt stick the product to my lashes. Using several different mascaras brands ( maybelline, loreal , revlon, ..) just didnt work. As an idea, it can be good, but in the practice... maybe I didnt know how to apply it , but then , do I have to have a PhD to succeed?

Restored Brittle Lashes - 9/20/2011 12:18:56 PM I have been using this product for about 4 years. After using waterproof mascara for 20+ years, my lashes had become brittle, lost all natural sheen, and natural curve. The salesperson first offered me a product that was over $100. When I said that was out of my price range, she showed me Talika. While I cannot say that I have seen additional length or fullness, I can report that the brittleness is gone, the sheen has returned, my lashes have their natural curve back, and my mascara goes on so much better after I use this product. And the price is not $100! I will continue to use Talika to protect my lashes from the drying caused by waterproof mascara and aging.

Ineffective - 3/20/2011 6:21:24 PM Talika did nothing for my lashes. I followed the directions religiously and did not find any change to my lash length or thickness after two months.

A MUST HAVE!!!! - 3/6/2011 11:25:19 AM I believe I wrote a review about the patches in the past-obviously I still use them and always will. Ladies (and gentlemen) these patches let us retain our youth and dignity. If any of you squash your face in the pillow at night-result-eye creases-this will solve the problem-I personally sleep with them on but for those who don't-apply your patch in the am and your creases will be hydrated. No Cheap Substitutions For This! - 12/2/2010 3:00:45 AM I've been using this for about 5 years now, having noticed breakage of lashes with age, and have always been impressed with the results. I first used this after an incident in which I lost a bunch of lashes right in the middle of the lash line. I thought I'd have to resort to false replacements for ever! It took a few weeks, but they indeed grew back. I was truly amazed. Recently I was without this and tried a cheaper, Swiss-made product more readily available (in-store). Its lack of results convinced me more than ever that this is the one to use for conditioning, growing and strengthening lashes. I won't be without it again!

Versatile Uses-Great Purchase - 6/24/2010 9:59:04 AM Received a complimentary pack of two-thought it was good but decided to add an eye cream under the eyes and put the patch over it. Wella!! That was the best - I even slept with them on - my morning ritual is to get up- cream up under the eye (it even covers more than under the eye) have coffee and remove-I won't be without it. This method works because the patch sticks.
