Beauty Solutions Unwanted Hair

» Beauty Solutions Archive

It’s time to show off a little skin and everyone likes being silky smooth. Whether you want to shave, wax, epilate or laser your hair away, we have all the products you need.

Shaving lasts about 1-3 days.
Pros: Immediate results and is usually inexpensive.
Cons: Can cause razor burn, cuts and ingrown hairs.

Waxing lasts about 3-6 weeks.
Pros: Can be fairly inexpensive with over the counter products and lasts longer than shaving.
Cons: Can be a little painful and may cause temporary redness or inflammation. If retinol or other exfoliating products have been recently used, waxing should not be done on the face.

Epilating lasts about 3-8 weeks.
Pros: Leaves your skin hair-free for a longer period of time, is less time consuming because you don’t need to do it very often, usually the hair grows back softer and doesn’t leave razor burn behind.
Cons: Is usually a little more uncomfortable in hair removal compared to shaving and it can leave behind temporary red bumps as it may irritate the hair follicle.

Laser may be permanent, but usually a touch up is needed every 6 to 12 months.
Pros: Leaves skin hair-free for very long periods of time and can treat large areas at once.
Cons: Works best on light-skinned individuals with dark hair, usually a more expensive treatment due to follow up and series of treatments and it may cause some redness.
