Do you feel that your skin has lost its radiance? Do you cleanse, hydrate, and protect your skin yet your skin lacks luster and is dull? Regular cleansing will remove surface dirt and makeup, but using a facial mask regularly can make a huge difference in how your skin feels, looks, and acts. In fact, only a facial mask will replenish moisture, draw out impurities, exfoliate, and unclog pores, among many other benefits. Masks help other products work more effectively by allowing deeper penetration. Masks will stimulate blood circulation and leave your skin feeling smoother and softer. Of course, the benefits will vary depending on the type of mask that is used. Masks can target conditions or have general benefits. Gel masks target dehydration, soothe, and plump the skin. Oatmeal masks target sensitivity, hydration, and reactivity. Clay masks target congestion, deep pore cleansing, and oil production. Cream based masks are moisturizing and plump up normal to dry skin types. Brightening masks target hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. To find which is best for you, you’ll need to know what type of skin you have and what you want to target. For example, combination skin may need a more balancing gel mask. A customer favorite, Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask, is great for all skin types and conditions. It is hydrating, calming, detoxifying, and refreshing. It can be used under the eye to target puffiness. It contains aloe vera, cucumber, and chamomile which are healing and hydrating. It contains enzymes for exfoliation from papaya and pineapple. Brightening and lightening agents like orange, lemon, & sugar cane extract. Generally, masks should be used 1-3 times per week.  They will usually remain on the skin for 10 minutes and then rinse. Please refer to manufacturer instruction. Face masks are very therapeutic. If the mask is infused with aromatic essential oils like mint and rosemary, it can lift your spirit by stimulating your senses. Using a face mask should be treated as a luxury.  Set aside a bit of “me” time when you decide to give yourself a mask. Draw a bath, light some candles and celebrate your experience. Relax the body, mind, and soul. Plus, it will leave you with fabulous looking skin. Facial masks can be applied where you need it. For example, combination skin with an oily t-zone can use a mud based mask for the t-zone and a hydrating mask everywhere else. You have the ability to have treatment control and target for your specific needs. A facial mask takes your basic skin care routine to a new level of efficiency, enjoyment, and relaxation.
