Top Hair Oils To Use This Summer

The hair oil trend is on the rise, and if you aren’t too clued up with the benefits, it can all seem a little scary at first. It’s no wonder some of us shy away from them, after all, the term ‘oil’ is often associated with greasiness, wet looks and oily textures.

However, hair and beauty oils are fast becoming more popular for a reason, and one of those is because they are packed with a concoction of vitamins, nutrients and moisturizing properties. The benefits from coconut, argan and jojoba oils can now be reaped through luxury hair oils, instead of just being used for cooking and consuming.

So before we start to share our list of super star hair oils, here’s a couple of points to bear in mind about why it’s really worth experimenting with this new favorite…

  1. They are Multitaskers
Whatever the hair concern, hair oils are designed to tackle a multitude of hair sins. They work best when applied to damp hair for detangling, sealing the hair cuticle, adding shine and providing hair protection. In general, they make brilliant hair health boosters.
  2. A little goes a long way
As your scalp has it’s own natural oils, keep hair oils (and any conditioners in general) away from the roots of the hair. Your natural oils are the best conditioners. For thicker, coarse hair, dispense 2-3 drops of hair oil onto the hair lengths, adding more if needed. Fine hair should only need 1-2 drops, which means a bottle should last a long time!
  3. Personalize them
Once you understand your personal hair concern, you can add a drop of hair oil to your favourite conditioner as a more targeted treatment. For example, dry hair which needs moisturizing would benefit from using an oil which infuses Coconut Oil. Damaged or curly hair which can be a struggle to straighten benefits from Jojoba Oil, due to it’s lubricating benefits. Argan oil, on the other hand, is superb for adding shine and softness to dull, lack lustre hair.
