The best

•Skin Type: Combination – can get oily in the T-Zone, and dry on the perimeter.; sensitive to fragrance, and essential oils — and you are, too. Do NOT use skincare with these ingredients (linalool and its counterpart are often snuck in). •Visible pores, that sometimes get congested, and about 3 days out of every month, •Skin concerns: Aging, fine and deep wrinkles around the eyes. Some textural issues. •Age: 46 and a self-proclaimed skincare junkie. I always double cleanse, at least at night. After using an oil-based makeup-removing balm or oil, I use this. It balances my skin. My skin barrier never feels stripped, just refreshed, breathable, and clean, ready for skincare. This doesn’t “sud-up” which I love, because most sudsy cleansers are over-drying, and frankly, unnecessary regardless of skin type. In the morning, I use a pea-sized amount of this cleanser again to remove my nighttime skincare products that are too strong for daytime use. Again, it preps my skin for my daytime skincare products. A closing note: I use a lot of skincare products, but I promise you, all you need is a gentle, non-irritating, non-drying cleanser, a retinoid (retinal for beginners), Vitamin C serum (between 10-20% with a pH no higher than 3.0 – all scientific studies show L-Ascorbic Acid as the Vit C source to be the most effective and beneficial to the skin), and a moisturizing sunscreen. La Roche Posay is great, but my favorite is Elta Md. Pick up some Vaseline to protect your moisture barrier when using harsher products such as retinal (nonprescription – beginners) and /or a retinoid/tretinoin (prescription). I say all of this simply to show that when it comes to skincare, I have done my research.
