EltaMD UV Active Broad-Spectrum SPF 50+ is an all- physical (no chemical sunscreen filters) sunscreen specially formulated for active lifestyles. It is also great for daily use for both adults and children. It is a water-resistant (80 minutes) sunscreen that will not rinse off in water or drip into the eyes and sting. Delivers broad-spectrum protection against UVA (aging) and UVB (burning) rays and contains antioxidants. Also offers high-energy visible (HEV) light protection.
Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure
Reapply:
- after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating
- immediately after towel drying
- at least every 2 hours

Very noticeable white cast
Eltamd is usually good at formulating sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast. Unfortunately, this one left a very noticeable white cast that never went away. I have light skin, and the cast was very apparent. Also, because the white cast is so noticeable, it was easy to see where the sunscreen had worn away. I was disappointed at how easily it rubbed off. I applied it at the recommended 2mg per square centimeter. The good thing about the sunscreen is that if you get it on sale, it's a good value for the size.
