Disappointed

I use ZO Obagi exclusively for my skin care products and needed to add a retinol to my regiment. I figured this product would be just as good since I love the other Obagi products I use. Unfortunately, this was not the case, I have now been breaking out for over a month since starting this cream. I’m almost 40 and haven’t had cystic acne in years and now have 3 large cysts and more than a handful of really awful pimples. My pores are now the size of craters and I look just awful. I’ve stopped using the cream altogether now for at least 2 weeks and the breakouts have stopped. I’m at my wits end trying to figure out how to get my skin to calm down. Maybe it’s hormonal or stress but i believe the product definitely has st least something to do with it.

Awesome Product!

At 73, not sure anything was going to help my aging skin. This has! The lines are less obvious and my skin is smoother. Was unsure that this strength would be ok, but it is, althought I did start with a lesser strength.

This retinol is my first foray into the world of retinol and I love it. It's reasonably priced and the tube lasts a long time. I saw an immediate blowup within a week of using it. The scent is mild and the cream easily absorbed into my skin. I highly recommend it.

Can't get the product out of the tube

Nights 1 -3 I can barely get any product out of the tube. The 4th time I squeezed the tube, 90% of it squeezed out of a tear in the top seam and it splattered on my wall. I wish I could say I tried this and it works but I cannot :-( To the manufacturers: Please fix the tube so users can use it.

The best of the best

I have been using this retinol for around 6 months now and the transformation in my skin has been dramatic. At first I broke out in pimples and blackheads but, after reading that this was a normal side effect of retinol, I persevered. I'm so glad I did. It's effective but far gentler than most 1.0 retinols out there - I was expecting redness and flaking but experienced none of the above. A little goes a long way and its consistency is more "face cream" than retinol, so I can often get away with using this alone at night, without additional moisturizer. My skin is firmer, smoother and more even. I am very fair, previously with a lot of melasma (but I have worked hard to get rid of this and I intend to keep it that way!). I love Obaji, but this is definitely my favorite Obagi product. 10/10.
