Shine Free Black Skin

Review for Black skin!! Specifying because it's frustrating when you can't tell if the review is for black or brown skin. I switched from the Creamy Cleanser to the Oily/Problem Facial Wash once I found out I had oily skin (see below) And it's works very well. All of the shininess on my face went away compared to the Creamy Cleanser, but my skin is still clear. Sometimes during the day, but nose specifically will still get a bit oily, but this could be because I'm using this with the Hydrating Toner. The rest of my face is great though, so I'm not switching anytime soon and just use blotting papers if I want the shine to go away, but still no breakouts on my nose. My Black Skin PCA Journey: I've been on a PCA journey for a few months now and although pricey, it's been worth every penny for me. I've never had super bad acne problems, but even when using a hydrating cleanser, alcohol free toner, and moisturizer from over the counter, I always often had breakouts and dry flaky skin to the point where at times, I would carry around my face moisturizer with me. So I always assumed I had dry skin. So when I started using the PCA line, I bought products for dry skin. WOW. My skin was glowing and blemishes were very infrequent, but my face was SUPER shiny all the time. Turns out, I actually have pretty oily skin and something about the other cheaper line of products I was using, was drying out my skin. I have oily black skin and right now I use: -PCA Oily/Problem Facial Wash - PCA Hydrating Toner - PCA Clearskin Moisturizer - Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Flex SPF 50 - Deep >> Not PCA - Only use as needed when I'm sun for more than 10-15 mins - PCA Pigment Bar (just starting will review in a month or so) Check out my reviews on these and other PCA products I've tried. Some worked amazingly and some I stopped.

Oily-Problem Skin

I have suffered since I was a preteen with oily skin. I have tried almost every product possible to where I have given up on skin care. Until I came across skin store and decided to do the little questionnaire they provided. I ordered every product that was “meant” for my skin in hopes that it’ll work. Since using these said product I have not broken out once, I am so happy that I finally found a product that works for me.

What a disappointment!

I began to use the wash with such high hopes...but it didn't work out as I hoped. I believe that regular soap (like dove bar) removes more oil from my face than this cleanser and at a fraction of the price. The oil on my face has not diminished in the least and I am almost done with the 7oz bottle I purchased. My face has actually never been as oily as it is has been in the past few months (while using the product). I'm not saying that the cleanser is to blame (although I am doing nothing different) but it hasn't helped at all. I would not recommend this product if you are struggling with a 'true' oily skin issue, maybe my case is extreme.

Not exactly for my oily skin

I have pretty oily skin (and hair) so I was looking for a face wash that would keep me less oily throughout the day but this did not do that for me. It was a nice wash plain and simple and did not over dry but I think this would be perfect for someone with sensitive skin. I was just expecting a miracle. I do however use other PCA products.

Great cleanser

This is a great cleanser for someone who gets adult acne but doesn't really want to be on an "acne control" system. The actual product is nondescript- no scent, basic bubbles. Makes you clean. This plus the exfoliant in the shower, plus A&C serum and clearskin afterward is all I need to stay clear day after day....

Super Face Wash

There are several PCA products I use and this is my daily wash. I tend to have occasional break outs and this wash keeps them at bay. The wash is very gentle and mild. My skin feels clean and fresh afterwards. It's also a GREAT VALUE. I keep one of these washes by my sink and one in the shower. Highly recommend!

PCA Skin products really work

I have been using PCA Skin products failthfully for over a year on the recommendation from my aesthecian. I noticed a dramatic difference in the health of my skin including reduced pore size and softeneing of some small wrinkles in 4 weeks (as did my dear aesthecian). As with any regime you need to be faithful day and night. I am 49, with fair skin, some hyperpigmentation - In addition to this cleanser, I used the sunscreen, 15% C cream, toner and the exfoliant cream that I mex with the cleanser 2X a week.

Gets rid of excess oil

I have combination skin that is very sensitive. Since trying a sample of this, I am completely sold. I have been using for about a month and love the results. It keeps excess oil off my face but also keeps the redness away.
