One thing is for sure: we all want thicker, fuller, healthier looking hair. So when the SkinStore beauty team got our hands on the Grow Gorgeous Hair Density Serum, which aims to give you those results within four months, we were instantly intrigued. We’ve heard so much about the amazing effects from both the Hair Density Serum and the Intense version, that it was time to try these out for ourselves…
I for one, with fairly fine, lack-lustre hair, understood how people can be skeptical about a serum which claims to increase hair density by 13% over its course. But nevertheless, myself and our Make-up Specialist, Anna, set ourselves the challenge to find out for ourselves.
Each of us armed ourselves with a collection of 3 Grow Gorgeous products each to use on our hair for a 90 day period, and we promised back in August that we would come back and deliver our findings. So here we are. 90 days have gone, our products are now empty (well, some of them). So lets see the results!

Findings:
I have to say that after the 90 trial using the Hair Density Serum once a day (just before going to bed), I am thrilled to say that for me, it works. I have fine hair which is quite sluggish at growing and doesn’t ever hold any lift, or present any volume. After the first month of using the serum, I started to see small, whispy hairs at my hairline – where I concentrated on applying the serum. At first I wasn’t sure if this was 100% down to the serum, but at the end of my three months, these baby hairs have noticeable grown! I’ve never seen new hairs grow around my hairline, which is why I made an effort to massage the serum into this area along with the rest of my scalp.
Alongside this, you’ll see from the photos that my hair just appears a little more ‘dense’, and I can feel this myself when I run my fingers through my roots. Obviously it hasn’t made a difference to the lengths of my hair because that’s old hair – it’s the roots where I can see a small lift and increased fullness. For me, it was the fullness I wanted to see an improvement for, and I’m so happy this has worked for me. The little wispy hairs may be at the stage where they are sticking up and look a little awkward, but I don’t care! I’m just over the moon I’ve seen visible new growth. A wonderful serum!
As for the other products, I have thoroughly enjoyed using the End Split Ends Serum as I believe this has improved the appearance of my length since using it. I apply a small amount on dampy hair before blow drying, and although nothing can rid of split ends, it seals mine together and smooths the scraggly frizz I was seeing towards the bottom. As my hair is so fine, I have only used the Overnight to Gorgeous Mask once every two weeks as a special ‘treat’, but I have to say this really does leave you with the softest, smoothest and shiniest hair after sleeping in it. Just make sure you have time to wash it off in the morning, and then you can head to work with healthy looking hair. I literally can’t stop touching my hair when I have used this!

Findings
After the 90 day hair trial of using the Hair Density Serum daily, you can probably see from the photos above that it’s most definitely been a successful product for my hair. As my hair lacks volume and is quite flat, a priority for me personally was to thicken the hair. I found that each week my hair was starting to feel more and more voluminous and highly responsive to growth from the serum as a result. Not only is my hair now feeling thicker and longer, it smells amazing too!
As my hair continued to grow through this trial, I still had my issue of split ends – partly because I needed a good hair-cut! So I started using the End Split Ends product every other day, applying this to damp hair before allowing to dry naturally (as I never blow-dry my hair). Again, I found this product smelled incredible and summery and really smoothed the ends of my hair strands together. This really helped to prevent my hair from splitting, breaking, and contributed to improving the overall condition of my hair.
Now for my final trial of the Grow Gorgeous Back Into The Roots 10 minute stimulating scalp masque. Similar to my hair goals for the Hair Density Serum, I strive to have thicker and more voluminous hair every single day. With this in mind, I tended to leave this product in my damp hair for 15-20 minutes as I felt it would be more effective, even though only 10 minutes is required. As a result, I really found that after a gentle rinse, my hair had a new natural bounce once dry, which I wouldn’t normally achieve through a standard Shampoo & Conditioner.
In summary, I’ve found that taking on the Grow Gorgeous Hair Challenge has achieved exactly what I wanted it to – it’s increased the overall condition, density and volume of my hair, so that my hair now feels thicker and healthier.
