Earlier this week the photograph of bride who chose to wear no make-up on her wedding day went viral. No make-up selfies have been making the rounds for some time, but if you’re not quite ready to go all the way, fake it!
The ‘No make-up’ make-up look takes real mastery. We want skin that looks healthy but never heavy, a rosy glow that looks natural, definition in all the right places, and we’ll take all of that with no imperfections thank you very much.
A Fresh Start
Begin with a clean canvas, which you can achieve with an AHA/BHA exfoliant. This will slough away dead skin cells and enable your products to sit better.
Both AHAs and BHAs are great for exfoliating the skin’s surface because they work to diminish wrinkles, boost the production of collagen, and tone the skin, but AHAs are best suited to those with sun-damage and dry skin as they enhance moisture content and buff the top layer of skin.
BHAs are ideal for oily, acne-prone skin because they cut through the unwanted oil congesting your pores. BHAs can also provide anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action, ideal for redness, sensitivity, low-key rosacea and inflamed skin.
