So you had one too many glasses of wine last night, or maybe it was tequila shots. Either way, hangovers happen to the best of us. In the case that you don’t have a whole day to sleep, stare at the wall and stroke your hair lovingly, let’s talk about getting you out of bed and ready to look decent if you have to go to a public place where there are other individuals. Breakfast with your in-laws? No problem.

How to look not hungover?

Liquids

First of all, drink all the liquids you can think of, preferably non-alcoholic ones. Water, juice, tea, coffee. Flushing out your system with liquids that aren't also used in cleaning supplies is a good way to look alive.

Sit Down

Get into some water and sit down. You just need to give yourself a break. If you don't have time to take a bath, sit in the shower. Let the steam from the water open up your pores and transform you into the sober and sophisticated person you are deep down.

Wear Soft Clothes

Just put on something soft, if you need to wear a dress for some reason, wear a soft dress. Do your self a favor and do not put on sparkly tights and a bodycon, you deserve better.

Ginger

Did you know that ginger is good for both your skin and for hangovers? It works to detox your system and allows your face to radiate through the pain. Put it in your tea, in your water, do whatever you want.

Moisturize

Alcohol dries your skin out, that's why it causes breakouts and redness and all of the things that we don't want. The more moisture, the better. We suggest a cream that gives you an extra boost that your everyday moisurizer might not.

Zinc

Zinc is your best friend if you need to clean out your skin. You can find it in serums, masks, sunscreens, and even face washes. Anything that is high and zinc will zap that hangover right off of your face.

Get Moving

We know we know, exercise sounds like the last thing you want to do after a night out, but it really does help. Sweating it out will not only relieve your skin of all of the cocktails that may still be lurking, but it will make you feel like a person again! Worth it.

There you have it! If you've done all of these things and still look like you haven't slept for two weeks, take a nap.

Here are some of our favorite hangover skin recovery products.
