If, like me, you like to get creative with your makeup, then Halloween is the perfect holiday for you! From dramatic smokey eyes to bold, vampy lips – nothing about Halloween makeup is subtle. Our celebrity-inspired Halloween makeup tutorial will help you to achieve a killer makeup look this October.

Sara Sampaio’s striking vampire-esque makeup is the perfect wearable Halloween makeup look. The dark, striking lips add a touch of vampy glamour while remaining gorgeous, sultry and ultra-wearable. If you’d like to recreate Sara’s look, then our Halloween makeup tutorial has got you covered.

Primer

A primer is an essential part of your makeup routine, helping to ensure that your makeup lasts all day (and night!). The Ordinary’s High Spreadability Fluid Primer is the perfect product to improve the wear and coverage of your foundation.

The innovative primer is formulated with high-flexibility silicones, helping to even out the skin tone and texture to create a flawless canvas ready for the application of foundation.

Foundation

To replicate Sara’s gorgeous, radiantglow, you need to get your hands on the Laura Geller Baked Liquid Radiance Foundation. The liquid foundation offers incredibly full coverage with a radiant and natural finish.

The weightless formula expertly camouflages imperfections, evens out the skin tone and enhances the skin’s radiance for a ‘lit from within’ glow.

Simply buff into the skin using the Pixi Full Coverage Foundation Brush, starting from the center of your face and buffing outwards.

To build up the coverage, gently pat your foundation into the skin using a damp Beauty Blender until you’ve reached your desired coverage.

Brows

Next, take The BrowGal Skinny Eyebrow Pencilto fill in your eyebrows. Start by brushing the hairs upwards using the built-in brush and then, use light upward strokes to replicate the look of hairs.

Eyes

Because you’re going to have such a bold lip for this look, you want to keep your eyes fairly neutral. Simply smudge some of the shade ‘Wolf’ from the Illamasqua Netural Eyeshadow Palette into your lower and upper lash line using the Sigma E30 Pencil Brush.

Contour

Take the Illamasqua Sculpting Face Powder Duo to help you create some killer cheekbones. Dust the darker shade under your cheekbones and the lighter shade on top of your cheekbones to help you to create some extra definition.

Lips

Now it’s time for the star of the show – your vampy lipstick! Line your lips using the Illamasqua Slick Stick Lip Liner in ‘Adorn’ to increase the longevity of your lipstick and ensure it doesn’t bleed – even though it is Halloween!

Next, apply the Illamasqua Anti Matter Lipstick in ‘Spectra’ to your lips. For a super-precise application, use the Illamasqua Lip Brush to help you to create a precise, bold lip.

Setting Spray

Finally, it’s time to set all of your hard work into place. Spritz the Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Sprayin an ‘X’ and a ‘T’ formation across your face. The ultra-fine mist works to keep your makeup looking fresh and flawless for up to 16 hours, helping to prevent fading and melting.

And there you have it, the ultimate Halloween makeup tutorial - happy spooking!
