Do you often find yourself putting others needs in front of our own? Your hectic day to day lifestyle leaves no time for unnecessary luxuries? Pampering has become an afterthought, rather than a priority? If this sounds at all familiar, you are not alone! In our busy ordinary lives, we find excuses not to relax. It may seem easier to continue treading along, but ultimately this leads to short changing our loved ones and ourselves. We have all been to those spa parties promising to pamper and relax us, but sometimes we feel pressured to buy something and leave the party with less money and sometimes a little regret for what we just got talked in to ordering. Here is fantastic idea for how to get the most out of your samples by enjoying time distressing with your friends! We all want to socialize, try new products and just relax. With this said, I am proposing we take control of our checkbooks, tell our friends no thanks, and invite them to our own version of an at home spa party called the Pampering Potluck. The Pampering Potluck involves a few friends, mini solo cups, and some appetizers… by appetizers I mean spa products. You can send out an invite and tell your friends to B.Y.O.S.P. Bring Your Own Spa Products. As each friend shows up with their samples and goodies in tow, you can put the products together on the table and let the fun begin. They can even bring their own favorite products in any size; this is where the mini solo cups come in handy. As you place a small amount of product in each cup label your cup with the product name using a little scotch tape and a sharpie, that way you and your friends can sample each others products and decide which ones are your favorites. This is a fun way to save a little cash in the long run because you won’t be wasting money buying products that you don’t like. The added benefits of the Pampering Potluck is that you can eliminate a little clutter, get educated on new products and more importantly you get to alleviate some stress and relax with the girls (maybe with a little glass of vino?!) If you want to provide a small party favor you can include something like the Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths. These are individual foaming cloths that are waterless and will leave your skin soft and hydrated. Want more fun? Do mini manicures and pedicures. The Barielle Love Your Nails Acetone Free Nail Polish Remover Towelettes are perfect for a quick polish change. Here is another idea for your Pampering Potluck, for minimal cost you and your spa going gals can try cucumbers or chamomile tea bags over your eyes. Chamomile is rich in anti-inflammatory substances and can soothe tired inflamed eyes. For 2 tea bags use 8oz of spring water. Boil in a large teapot and place the bags in the freezer for 5 minutes. While you are waiting you and your friends can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea. Taking time for yourself is necessary to distress and get on the path to better health. Now go, do something nice for yourself!
