My New Favorite Highlighter

It’s no secret that I’m a really big fan of highlighters and luminizers and in the past I would usually opt for powder highlighters with a shimmering finish. However, that was so last month and before I discovered the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer. If I was to make a comparison I would say it is a little similar to the Tom Ford illuminator from their shade and illuminate duo but in my opinion the RMS highlighter is much more desirable.

This highlighter oozes elegance. It doesn’t add a brash array of shimmer, it’s more of a soft radiant pearlescent glow. It’s a dream!

When do you apply it?

Once I have done my base makeup, (my primer, foundation, concealer, contour and blush), I like to add the ultra creamy highlight to my cheek-bones, brow-bones, cupid bow and the bridge of my nose.

How to apply it?

Similar to any creamy products that are applied on top of other products, to get the best results, simply use your finger tips and pat the product onto the areas that you want to draw attention to. I have found in the past that applying cream-based products with a brush and on top of a makeup base can sometimes result in the makeup rolling or moving. This is simply not a good luck. So when you try it, definitely use your fingers, especially when you’re applying it to your cheek-bones.

Why is it so good?

Obviously everyone’s opinions are different, but having tried a countless amount of highlighters and luminizers it’s fair to say I have a good idea of what I like and don’t like. I take 3 things into consideration; how it looks, how it lasts and how easy it is to apply, and with those factors in mind this highlighter ticks all of the boxes.

Glow from within…

The coconut oil within the product aids the super healthy glow you get once its been applied, it’s super easy to put on and it lasts as long as you want it to.

If you like highlighter, definitely give it a go. I did once apply it to my cheek bones and then applied powder based highlighter on top. The creamy finish enables product to really adhere if you fancy more of an intense glow. Personally I do prefer it on its own and I already know it’s going to be one of my favorite products for my makeup bag!
