Is it just us, or do celebrity men get that little more impressive when we see them playing the doting family man? To celebrate Father’s Day, we wanted to share with you some of the top celebrity Fathers out there, who we spy regularly melting our hearts. This big crop of stars – new dads and established dads alike – will be celebrating their Father statuses today, so we’re paying them tribute. From Brad Pitt proudly displaying his mini army of little ones, to Justin Timberlake celebrating his second Father’s Day, take a look at our list of favorites:
David Beckham
Despite all his goals in football, and playing for England, David Beckham is our #1 celebrity Dad for describing his family as his “greatest achievement”.
In a 2011 interview he said “In my career there’s many things I’ve won, and many things I’ve achieved but my greatest achievement is my family. What matters is being a good father and a good husband – just being connected to family as much as possible. Being a dad is more important than football, more important than anything.”
Will Smith
Will Smith has turned his showbiz talent into a family affair, constantly supporting them in their pursuits. Let’s not forget his heartwarming performance alongside Jaden in ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’. More recently, he got right up on stage with Willow at the 9th Annual Roots Picnic to sing a rendition of ‘Summertime’ – he’s cool too.
Justin Timberlake
One of the newer celebrity Dads, Justin Timberlake has already convinced us he’s a great one. The ‘Can’t Stop This Feeling’ singer told Elvis Duran on the ‘The Z100 Morning Show’ that “Nothing trumps your kid’s butt cleanliness”. And Mr. Timberlake has won around 121 awards you know.
Ben Affleck
Now here is a hero Dad and a half! Ben Affleck keeps his children out of the limelight as much as possible, which is lovely to see from such a Hollywood A-Lister couple (Ben Affleck is married to actress Jennifer Garner). The main times we spot the Gone Girl star with his children is during typical, ‘normal’ family outings, such as visits to the park, or watching the local baseball games. Its rare to see Ben Affleck enjoying the great outdoors without his two girls – Violet and Serpahina- in tow. But when he isn’t off doing ‘normal’ things with this two girls and wife, Ben supports HELP Africa, which see’s him over at the Easter Congo, helping children’s charities whenever he can.
Prince William
There are far too many adorable photographs of Prince William and his kids not to put him on our favorite Dads list. According to HRH, Prince George and Princess Charlotte are as “good as gold, honestly”.
Usher
You know Halloween is coming when you see a photograph of Usher’s kids and pumpkins. The 37-year old Dad is regularly photographed on adventures with his sons and has said that nothing is more important to him in this world.
Brad Pitt
Ah – Brangelina, or the Jolie-Pitt family, whatever you wish to call them, melt everyone’s hearts with their gorgeous array of children.
Jamie Oliver
In a recent interview, Jamie Oliver said “I love kids, my family keep me honest. I have a weird job, a weird life, but my family keeps my quite real.”
The celebrity chef is expecting his fifth child now, and we can’t wait to find out what he and his wife name him/her. A recap on their current kids’ names: Poppy Honey Rose, Daisy Boo Pamela, Petal Blossom Rainbow and Buddy Bear Maurice.
Jay Z
Any Dad who puts a tribute song to his daughter out there, deserves to be on this list. Jay Z’s song ‘Glory’ was released two days after Blue Ivy was born, opening with Blue’s first heartbeat, and including a sample of her cries towards the end. It’s a tune.
